Amer Meknas is the Event Director of MuslimFest, a one-of-its-kind annual festival of Islamic arts in North America, attended by 13,000 visitors. He is also one of the creative forces behind this award-winning festival for the past 5 years. He works for DawaNet Canada as Development Manager. He also serves as the Creative Director at TorontoMuslims.com and Understanding Islam Academy. Amer is a graduate of the University of Toronto in Communication Culture and Information Technology, where he also served as the President of the Muslim Students Association (MSA). His event management expertise and passion for arts have taken him to several artistic community and school events in Canada as a judge. Being an activist, he is involved in various bridge-building initiatives in Canada.
