Born and raised in Toronto, Asifa Sheikh is a social worker who spends her time serving children residing in shelters or trying to express herself through creative writing.  Her preferred literary medium is poetry, though she dabbles in some fiction and non-fiction writing.  As a hobby poet and writer, she has enjoyed performing at previous MuslimFest events and other community engagements.  Her poetry has been featured in an anthology called “Between Love, Hope and Fear” released in the UK by “An-Najm” Publishers.
