Iskandar Soekardi

Iskandar Soekardi was born and raised in Pacific Grove, California. He received a BA in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University. His poems were featured in several journals including PoetsWest and the Creative Edge. He was the frontman for an experimental music group called the Generosity of See Lau and hosted an ambient music/ Islamic soundscape program called Inside Fez on KAZU 90.3 fm and a series of poetry and music gatherings before studying at the Zaytuna Institute and eventually leaving for a four year period in Morocco where he taught ESL, gave talks on motivation and poetry while studying various Islamic sciences with traditional scholars.
