A photojournalist and portrait photographer, Sadaf Syed obtained her degree in communications and photo-journalism from California State University, Fullerton. Like each of us, she has been on her own journey of self-discovery. Along the way, she found another perspective on the Muslim-American women who cover.
Taking the same medium that’s being used to misrepresent them, she focused her camera lens on women who graciously sacrificed their privacy in order to show their fellow Americans the commonalities we all share. Sadaf's work has been featured internationally as well as in exhibitions across the United States of America.
