What is the link between your spirituality and your creativity?
Two independent wellsprings of meaning, motivation, and energy. When the trajectories combine, the fountain arcs higher. I know when this condition has been met because there is a singular thrum, either a responsiveness in me or a tingling of independent energies: both could also be known as barakah.
Where do you draw your inspiration from?
I draw inspiration from every facet of creation that I can. A favorite is Johnny Appleseed who spread the flavors of a new fruit and used the opportunity to help breed and propogate healthier and bigger and tastier generations of said fruit.
What will you be hoping to take away from the CSP event?
I hope to discover new people to inspire, and new partners with whom to harvest beauty as a healing salve. I produce photographs that are high quality recordings of indiginous and Islamic high culture in the Middle East and Southwest Asia. I need colleagues who recognize that images are an important medium not only for inspiration (which I can demonstrate personally) but for the preservation, restoration, and enrichment of culture (all of which are team-based efforts). I look for collectors and venues to exhibit.
