Wafaa Sabil, dynamic and curious of everything, has a Master’s Degree in Architecture from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. Her studies have also taken her to France and Montreal. Wafaa’s practice as an architect is quite diverse, from working on affordable housing to community centers and retail stores. Currently, she is working with EHDD, a well-known architecture firm in the Bay Area that focuses on aquariums, libraries and institutional buildings. She has been involved with the renovation of the Monterey Bay Aquarium and the New City College of San Francisco, Chinatown/North Beach campus. Volunteering for the past five years with Rebuilding Together as a Project Captain managing design and construction, she renovated several facilities, notably the Mission Cultural Center. She is also involved in the design of a school in Uganda.

Wafaa is impassioned by sustainable architecture and educating the public on avant-garde, environmentally sound designs. When she has time, she also enjoys practicing yoga and ceramic art.
