Zachary Twist was born and raised in the SF Bay Area, and grew up immersed in non-profit activism and a joyous drive to "make a difference." He's been fortunate to travel on a wide array of adventures around the globe, including life-changing trips in West Africa and the Amazon Rainforest.  In his early professional endeavors he worked as a public school teacher, a manager at a music store, a radio station director, and an aide for developmentally disabled children. More recently, he served for several years as an aide to the Mayor of Oakland (Jerry Brown), and then in an exciting  role as the Director of Operations & Programs at Zaytuna Institute.  Zachary is currently enrolled full-time as a candidate for an MBA in Sustainable Business at the Bainbridge Graduate Institute, and is a familiar face in non-profits and activist circles around the Bay Area. He finds enriching creative outlets in music, design, and, mostly significantly, in play with his three children.
